There are many varied uses for such stones. One of the most common application is for costume and props. They are often used as substitute to diamond jewelries that are utilized in props. Most ladies apply them with the use of a special glue onto their nails after they are done painting it. Sometimes, they are even used to make a tattoo shine out more. They are placed at certain positions on the skin to make the tattoo design more attention grabbing.

With all their sparkling appearances, it is absolutely not even a wonder that they are quite the staple when it comes to the making of jewelries and all sorts of accessories. They are often used as proxy for diamonds in a tiara. Rhinestone rings can even pass off as diamond ones. They turn a simple article of fashion accessories from drab to fab.

They also make for fine pins and brooches that exude an aura of unmistakable aristocracy. They are even used widely in word pins. These involve forming words and adorning them with sparkles. They can bear a name, or any random word.

They are even used now as an advertisement strategy. Some of them bear the company name and logo. They also make for perfect gifts.
