By Ann Hayes

Men and women wore jewelries each day and most especially for special occasions. When worn, it adds value to the looks and appearance of a person. Ever since the Middle Ages, these items have become the symbol of prestige and of wealth. No matter, jewelry display inside the stores can be done through the use various equipment.

The most common method is through display glass. If the entirety is made of glass, they will place the jewelries in its cases or place soft cloths on top of the glass surface. They may choose to have shelves with wood surfaces or other materials. The wood are properly sanded and finished to create a smooth and lacquer surface.

Holding bracelets and necklaces is the job of ring holders. They are shaped into a cactus or tree. It allows these two to be displayed at full length to allow customers to see and feel the jewelry. Rings are not allowed inside these holders because its size is too small to notice among the mentioned two jewelries.

Do note that high end stores do not really incorporate curb chains into their display method. Here, necklaces and long earrings are displayed to its full length. The unknowing benefit if they use this is it increases the interior design of the store. It is unknowing because it is a fortunate side effect of curb chains.

Ring box are also used. It can be shaped to a small box hold a single ring or a bigger one that holds plenty. These are placed on display glass wherein customers only need to lean in to inspect the ring before asking the sales representative for a closer look. They do separate the rings by size and by gender though.

They may also use jewelry blocks. It is a small box that is carved out from wood. It has a thin rod that is horizontally placed on top and center of the wood. It makes placement and jewelry to choose which location will let the items shine more. They do this because some displays are too elaborate that these steal the thunder of the product.

At times, they use display boards. Like its name, it showcases the different designs and styles of the jewelry. The shelves create divisions of one type to the other. Thus, it allows jewelers to place some items in one board. It creates a diverse and neater jewelry for the store.

Antique stores have jewelries placed inside showcase vials. These can be of any size, types, and designs. One example is the hooked earrings inside which connects it to the bottom of the corks. Taller jars may also be used for necklaces and bracelets. This allows the items to be boxed in.

Last is a dowel steel rod rack. It can be as short or as tall as they want depending on where they want to place it. It may be on the floor or on top of a table. It organizes the items on each branch so customers can just peruse the display. This also allows diversity in jewelries to occur except perhaps for rings.
