Different In Faith But Bound By Love

By Sarah Morris

Imagine the world that is more open to the possibility of things happening out from the norms established by a society. Take for example the possibility of falling in love with someone who has the same gender, someone older or even someone with a different religion. Now little by little those possibility are slowly being seen but not fully acknowledge. Although this is a sad fact that everyone who defies the norms and status quo faces but, things like Jewish and interfaith wedding Orange County sheds hope for a future that is free from bias judgments.

Why is it, when one mentions about interfaith marriage it marks as a sin for some, when did love ever become a sin. Among most religion, love is the core for faith to blossom and spread. With that notion itself, it is clear that no one is a sinner when they are simply fighting for the ones he or she loves.

It is true, that with different religion there will always be differences in beliefs and values. However if the ones in the relationship are willing to set that aside then no one has the right to judge them by the norms in their different religious circle.

Though there are ways to make things easier, such as changing their religion. But it is like asking for the other to sacrifice years and years of religious values and beliefs. However in most cases as such, they make that kind of decision on their own, even if they know the weight of that decision.

Its not that they no longer value their beliefs, just that they recognize the fact that the other person could complete and make them the best versions of themselves, after all a good healthy relationship is bound to do more good.

The point is, no one can force love. When it comes, it is a force unlike any other and if cannot be stopped nor can it be avoided. In most religion love is the center of everything, so whose to say that its wrong.

At this point regardless if you are Jewish and he or she is Catholic you could not stop yourself from pursuing her or from falling for him. And every problem from then on you would face it together.

In this multicultural society with multi religious people the boundaries and reasons that once kept different people of different views apart is slowly disappearing. More and more the realization that all are the same, and are all made by flesh, blood and bones. All can coexist without having to establish and lines or walls in between.

One can only imagine the good outcome of all these realization and positive changes. And as more people around the world establish their own perspective and positive ideology, one can truly imagine a better future.
